An Air Force base in Colorado is getting ready for Santa’s arrival.

Of course you can follow along online, but there are other ways to track him.  If would rather check for Santa old school, you can call 877-446-6723 starting 3 a.m. Dec. 24 where a NORAD staff member will inform you to the big guy’s whereabouts. Operators will be on call until 3 a.m. on Dec. 25.

About 1,500 volunteers have signed up to field the thousands of calls from kids around the world, asking about Santa’s whereabouts.

The annual holiday mission – tracking Santa’s sleigh ride around the world – is no easy feat for NORAD, who will celebrate its 60th year keeping tabs on St. Nick.

Over 150 telephone lines will be manned by volunteers Christmas Eve, answering calls from an estimated 125,000 children around the planet.

Santa’s location will also be shared on Facebook and Twitter (last year, Santa got 1.6 million Facebook likes).

“We are getting all of the preparations finalized for December 24,” said Stacey Knott, media specialist for the Track Santa Operations Center. “So our phone teams and our computer teams are all here and making sure everything is ready for the big day.”
