Amy Schumer Denies Joke Stealing Scandal
Amy Schumer was accused by other comedians of stealing jokes. She categorically denied it on Twitter, then went on a radio show and offered to take a polygraph test.
On my life, I have never and would never steal a joke.

It started when WendyLiebman accused Amy of, quote, “doing 1 of my best jokes on her HBO special.” The joke Amy told was, quote, “I’m very old school, I think the guy should always pay on the first date for sex.” Then comedian and “Arrested Development” writer Chuck Martin suggested Liebman talk to Kathleen Madigan. That’s because Madigan had a routine years ago where she said Oprah is so rich she could stay thin by hiring someone to slap food out of her mouth before she eats it, and someone else who can exercise her while she just lays there. And on Season One of “Inside Amy Schumer”, she did bits called “Slap Chef” and “Sleep Gym”, which were basically just reworked versions of those premises. That’s when comedian Tammy Pescatelli joined the conversation, and suggested that Amy stole a joke from her 2006 Comedy Central special, where she said women dress their men like idiots so other women won’t be interested in them.
Last year, Amy was accused of stealing a joke from the late Patrice O’Neal.
