Phil Collins reveals he’s back with former wife after paying her $46 million
Former Genesis singer Phil Collins has revealed he has reconciled with his third wife Orianne Cevey, the mother of his two sons, 8 years after paying her a reported $46.76 million divorce settlement.
In a new interview with Billboard, the 65-year-old Collins opened up about his struggle with alcoholism (he’s been sober for three years now) and reconnecting with Cevey, a jewelry designer.
“[After the divorce], I’d wake up, turn the TV on and have a glass of wine. You look up at the end of the day and you’ve knocked off a couple of bottles — and you’re still sober!” he told Billboard. “I spent way too much time horizontal. It started to be bad for my body. I almost died. My organs were beginning to shut down.”
“I’m all right now. I bought [a house in Miami] about six months ago,” he said. “I’m actually back with my third wife — I haven’t really talked about it. We’ve been together for a while, and nobody’s noticed.”
Collins has paid over $80 million to his former wives.
Meanwhile, 43 year old Orianne has filed for divorce from husband Charles Fouad Mejjati less than eight years after they were married in Geneva, Switzerland. Apparently THAT split hasn’t been too smooth.
